Angelokastro, the ruins of a fortress perched on a 300-metre-high rock, is one of the most beautiful viewpoints on Corfu. The view sweeps over the bay of Paleokastritsa with its wonderful beaches. On a clear day, large parts of the island are literally at your feet. Simply grandiose!

The “Castle of the Angels” is also worth a visit for those interested in history. It was once one of Corfu’s most important defences. Although the fortress was abandoned and deserted in the 19th century, there are still interesting details to see such as the citadel, the round tower and a small chapel with 18th century murals.
